    Got hope?

I was out driving the other day and saw a bumper sticker that said, "Got hope?" I immediately thought maybe the little website underneath mentioned a church's name. Boy was I wrong. As I inched my car closer, a website on the same bumper sticker listed Barack Obama's website. Wow, was I in shock. Especially as a Christian I obviously would never place my hope in Barack Obama, let alone the human race. As I have seen it stated, "I have a Savior, I need a President." So true.

The media has painted Senator Barack Obama as the coming Messiah. Fans faun over him blindly. I even remember while waiting for my flight from Miami to San Pedro Sula, I viewed Senator Barack Obama on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine. He has no experience yet he is the "Barackstar."

I am ashamed that we have turned the presidential elections into nothing more than a beauty contest. The presidential elections should be focused solely on who is the most apt and experienced to hold the high office. Yes, Senator Barack Obama may be a good-looking man, he may have a beautiful wife, and he may have the most adorable children, but that does not mean he is capable of leading our country. Obama even admits that some decisions a president has to make are "above his pay grade."

Senator McCain is ready to lead. His record provides us with more than a glimpse into the future of his presidential career. John McCain is pro-family, pro-life, and pro-American prosperity. When the Pledge of Allegiance is recited, Senator John McCain places his hand over his heart because of his deep love for this country.

On the issues, the four-term Arizona Senator has strongly apposed gay rights. Senator McCain feels passionately about the institution of marriage being mandated between one man and one woman.

As far as gun rights are concerned, Senator John McCain has voted against the ban on assault-style weapons and has voted for shielding gun-makers and dealers from civil suits.

Republican John McCain, a long time member of the Armed Services Committee, criticized the earlier handling of the War on Terror but has been a crucial ally to President George W. Bush's effort to increase and maintain U.S. forces in Iraq.

Now as the Democratic National Convention has started in Denver, Colorado, Senator McCain has gained some popularity among voters and has even picked up a few Hollywood type supporters as well. During a Los Angeles fundraiser, John McCain received support from Angie Harmon, David Zucker, Jon Cryer, Craig T. Nelson, Jon Voight, Craig Haffner and Robert Duvall.

Yesterday, while visiting the alma mater of his wife Cindy in Phoenix, Senator McCain also has received support from a very popular reggaeton star, Daddy Yankee. These same notable guests will hopefully boost McCain's media attention and all are planning on attending the GOP Convention next month in the Twin Cities.

The GOP has definitely reached new highs this political season. It is thrilling to see the energy within the party as it is both electrifying and contagious! Michigan State Convention last weekend pumped up the grassroots and now more than ever we ready to fight for the White House.

We don't need a Messiah; there is one on His way (for a second time). We don't need another rock star (there are plenty in Hollywood). We need a President and Senator John McCain has the understanding, the knowledge, and the experience to lead the United States as Commander-in-Chief.
