    Why would a previously unknown Dem female Gov want to come to Michigan, in a deliberately low-key event?  

    Why have an event where only some of the press is there, where there are no other politicians of note?

    Gosh, wouldn't this have been a great practice run for someone who will soon be making high-profile campaign speeches starting next week?

    From Yahoo / AP:

    "Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius speaks at a Michigan Women for Obama town hall meeting at Macomb Community College in Warren, Mich., Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. Sebelius, a possible Democratic running mate wouldn't say if she expects to be chosen by presidential candidate Barack Obama."

    Think about it --

    This event was low-key.  There were not any other Dem VIP's that I could see that would've overshadowed Sebelius.  There was enough press to report the effort, but not the crush of Obama press corps.  

    I'm calling Vegas, and putting my money on Sebelius for Veep nominee.

    And to the normal people, 95% of all politicians that come to states stumping for candidates are unknown.

    And, during the silly season of elections, all kinds of hacks come to town.  Don't think I'd read too much into it.
