We're rural and vandalism has come our way before, mostly in the form of harmless but irritating pranks.  Toilet-paper in the trees, twigs in the mailbox, bologna and mayo on the garage doors and mailbox (we don't get that one, either), and four of the numbers ripped off the mailbox.  This morning, however, my daughter's Halloween pumpkin was broken up in the driveway, an old computer left on our stoop (another very strange one), an old fire extinguisher was in the mailbox and the "arrangement" you see in the photograph.

One of the McCain signs was ours.  The rest were stolen, as was the Obama/Biden sign.  We WILL be filing a police report, and I'll let you know how it goes.

Our teenage daughter is FURIOUS.  She's been a vocal McCain/Palin supporter at school and is "hunting for bear."
