According to Nick's reporting and confirmed by my state representative source, the following Republican representatives are the ones most likely to put the huge $1.2 Billion tax hike into effect by voting in favor of it:

    Richard Ball 517-373-0841 richardball@house.mi.gov

    Judy Emmons 517-373-0834 judyemmons@house.mi.gov

    Chris Ward 517-373-1784 chrisward@house.mi.gov

Please contact them now to remind of your solid opposition to any tax hike.

According to my source, the current proposed tax hike is "tiebarred" to several other bills the Dems may consider poison pills. Most notably reforms in teacher benefits.  No doubt the MEA is exerting enormous pressure on the Dems.

I'm told if any of the tiebarred reforms fail, the tax hike cannot become law.

    Hang tough Republicans!

Now, make those calls and help save the day for Michigan's families!

I just sent my email, which they'll hopefully read with their morning coffee.

I think the calls and letters are making a difference.  The "good guys" are holding on and not caving to Jenny and the democrats.

I'm wondering what kind of jobs the democrats promised these three after they are recalled or not elected again.

Three little words - just vote no! (none / 0) (#6)

I did my part too. I sent off tough emails that said vote no and we are watching what y-o-u do. Don't bleed those left dry. Find other ways to fix the budget crisis instead.

Let's hope the pressure from average citizens counts more than strong arm tactics from lobbyists and special interest groups.
