The Michigan Department of Corrections overspent their budget by $42.4 million.

The Michigan Department of Human Services overspent their budget by $39.5 million.

The Michigan Department of Community Health overspent their budget by $168.5 million.

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth overspent their budget by $8 million.

No, these are not additions to the nearly $70 million that was overspent by the governor's administration that was revealed last winter, these are brand new examples.  Examples of an administration addicted to spending money they don't have and then using distortions to convince taxpayers to mail more of their money to Lansing.

As it was last winter, this is a VIOLATION OF THE LAW!!!  Granholm seemed to throw her nose up in the air last time, as if her fiscal irresponsibility should not be an issue and I'm convinced that she will do the same this time.

Hey governor, just because you've spent your life practicing and making law, doesn't mean you're above it!!!  Just ask William Jefferson.

But to our Democratic friends, I'm sure this news will come as a surprise.  After all Granholm:

"Has gotten Michigan's fiscal house in order."

"Has cut more out of state government than any governor before her."

"Is dealing with the smallest state government since the Milliken Administration."

All while Michigan's GF/GP budget has increased (more than the rate of inflation) while Granholm's been governor.  The truth is this:

Granholm got into office and soon realized she was in WAY over her head.  She couldn't lead, because she didn't know how to lead so she set up a system of smoke and mirrors, an illusion of leadership.  Despite her best efforts to out-run Michigan's reality, it has caught up to her.  The mirrors are broken and the smoke is clearing.  The real Jennifer Granholm (the tax and spend, throw money at every problem liberal from Harvard and Berkeley) has been revealed.  No wonder Michiganders are feeling they made a mistake by re-electing her.
