Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    OK, another question (none / 0) (#7)

If all this social media stuff is in question with its legality in regards to the State of Michigan, then what is our Governor doing with using it to peddle a taxpayer funded bridge?  Is that not his account displayed above?  Is it our governors surrogates?

But because of legal concerns, he and administration officials aren't ready to put a link to that page, developed for the 2010 campaign, on the official governor's Web page at www.michigan.gov. Nor have they wanted to abandon the popular Facebook page -- which still receives regular updates -- in favor of a governor's page that would start from scratch in attracting followers.

Snyder's Twitter feed, also developed during the campaign, is in a similar state of limbo. Though Snyder was never a prolific tweeter, even during the campaign, its more than 2,500 followers have received only 15 tweets since February.

"We want to make sure ... we're following the letter of the law," Snyder spokeswoman Geralyn Lasher said. "We're still looking at the different scenarios and different options."

Though Snyder's concerns relate mostly to possible conflicts between government and campaign activity, a host of other issues affect state departments in their use of social media.

I'm asking this for the reason that I know almost nothing about any of those invasion of privacy networking tools.
