    ...if Snyder is recalled, Calley will be bumped up to Governor.

    I'm not necessarily thrilled by that prospect, but watching your predecessor get canned should enough of a disincentive to prevent him, or any other republicans with similar intentions for that matter, from doing anything stupid in the future.

    of the governor would, according to Article 5, Section 26 of the Michigan Constitution, result in the sitting Lieutenant Governor succeeding to the vacancy for the remainder of the term (after which he may then be eligible for two terms in his own right - see Article 5, Section 30).  The vacancy in the Lieutenant Governorship would be filled by a State Senate appointee.

    While I'm not yet onboard with a recall attempt (especially one being driven by the MEA), as I don't believe that Snyder has yet accomplished anything qualifying as terminal stupidity, I wouldn't yet rule out a primary challenge either.
