      because I did anyway.

      Having said that I admit that it was a protest vote.  My humble opinion is that we conservatives have little hope within the libertarian party though we do share a vast majority of their principles on economics and freedom.

      We conservatives have only one hope and that is to take back the GOP from dyed-in-the-wool big government types who truly believe that an overseeing benevolent government can provide all the answers for its subjects.

      Once Mike Cox (by far the best choice) and Pete Hoekstra (a distant and somewhat distasteful second choice) were knocked out in the primary, conservatives had no horse left in the race.
