       You seem to be operating under the false impression that the only work a teacher does is during the school day.
       Further, I'm not quite sure you realize the amount of continued education that the state of Michigan requires a teacher to obtain; hence your random Census chart without any accompanying explanatory information.
       And to alleviate some of your fears, much of the information you are interested in is currently available on the internet. Also, if you cannot locate the information on the web, you should be able to obtain it by contacting your school district. (I'm also pretty sure that there was a transparency requirement added to the school budget bill. So the info should be even easier to find in the future.)
