  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Yes, I'm confident that Debbie does push the EPA.  It's obvious that is Stabenow's Democratic Party idea of "normal" government behavior.  We've all seen their job killing wealth destroying agenda on display time, and time again.

    via MCC

"Polite but concerned" best describes the mood which confronted U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow at a recent speech and question and answer session.

The Midland Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the "Issues & Answers" event with Sen. Stabenow. The Democrat is running for re-election in November. She addressed current issues in the nation's capitol while specifically focusing on manufacturing and job creation.

The two-term senator told the business-friendly crowd that she "knows small business" because of her background as the daughter of a car dealership owner. Sen. Stabenow emphasized a commitment to manufacturing, saying that she supports lower tax rates on those in that select industry.

    Rest here

Memo to Debbie: raising the credit limit on your charge card is not a budget.  Mommy and daddy should've taught you that 50 years ago.

How she can endorse this administrations policies that impoverishes so many and is able to look Michigan citizens in the eye is beyond me.

The Senate and House Agriculture Committees recommended to the Super Committee last year to cut $4.2 billion in nutrition spending to help shore up the national deficit. Last month, the House budget resolution passed, which included trimming spending for the federal nutrition program, SNAP, commonly referred to as food stamps.

Signers of the letter included several unions, such as the AFL-CIO, United Auto Workers, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, the American Federation of Teachers and the International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers.

More than 1.84 million Michigan residents receive SNAP, according to the Michigan League for Human Services..

Stabenow, D-Lansing, could not be reached late Monday.

    Whole story here

Debbie, being indentured to something really sucks, doesn't it?
