    Granted, these were unrealistic contracts to agree to.

    However, Detroit DOES have the assets to cover its incurred debts.

    By selling off the DIA collection (estimated value between $10-20 billion), the DWSD (estimated value $9-billion $6-billion), Coleman Young Municipal Airport, Manoogian Mansion and other Detroit-owned assets, the necessary revenue can easily be generated to cover the retirees and other creditors.

    Granted, the children will complain, but this lesson will teach them that bad decisions have consequences.
