There is a great deal to cover on the tea party powwow in Mt. Pleasant today, but a little inspiration is in order.

With over three hundred tea party leaders representing over 50 organizations around the state, its safe to say the powwow was an icredible success.  A happy standing room only crowd with max seating in place should drive home the point that the Tea Party is hardly gone.

Emery McClendon is an Indiana Tea type who has become a sought after speaker at tea party events and was the winner of Americans for Prosperity's 2010 "Activist of the Year" award.  Enjoy.

    Emery's Speech (5.00 / 1) (#1)
by kingsleyphoenix on Sun Oct 20, 2013 at 11:17:52 AM EST
In my opinion most attendee's at the Tea Party Pow Wow would rightfully agree that McClendon's address was the best heard for the day. It was for me. It had all the dynamics for a great oration. Emery reviewed much of the latter day social and economic problems pointing to the increase in government as the source of our problems.  And rightly so. Historical references, hard facts, and the sprinkling of humerus asides for relief. The audience participation by appropriate applause was spot on and let the speaker know our synapses were keeping pace with his every word.    Until, he referenced taking the field to "put in place people who think like us and are willing to preserve and restore our founding constitution and establish our laws" or, "we will become the United State of Europe." 1 person applause.  Perhaps this was Emery's fault for not developing this theme deeper. Does the Tea-Party of America know this is exactly what is being planned through the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership? Or, that Barack Hussein Obama will soon be pressuring Congress for Fast Track Trade Authority to expedite this?  Perhaps some do, and I hope many more pick up on it.  Follow Sun Tzu's advice.  "know your enemy" and his tactics. Also be as pro-active rather than re-active as you can be.                                             When I shook Emery's hand after his speech I especially thanked him for his particular comments referenced above and he acknowledged the fact there is a lot more that should be said about America's Trade policies.   There is hope.  There is even greater hope when American patriots learn to correctly anticipate the plans of freedoms mortal enemy.

I've heard him speak in Livingston County before and met him at an AFP event. He's a good guy.

Sean Hannity got thru twice on the Obamacare hotline today.  Neither customer service rep knew who he was, nor did they know who Rush Limbaugh was.  Neither recognized the name of Kathleen Sebilius and they are taking calls about Obamacare!  This is what we are up against people.  Not only uniformed - completely clueless!
