Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Is It A New Year?

Conservative grass roots favorite Kerry Bentivolio starts his 11th Congressional District career on Jan. 3rd. Will he be another Candace Miller, or more akin to Justin Amash?

The President fired a shot across the Bentivolio bow when he said that he didn't want another principled showdown on the upcoming debates on raising the debt ceiling- AGAIN.

Kerry dodged the last skirmish,as a Congressman-elect, but will be required to do what we elected him to do in the upcoming vote. This is where the rubber meets the road, and we wish him the best. And with all due respect, we demand it.

But honestly, IMO, there is no justifiable excuse for raising the ceiling when the Senate refuses to work within a budget, spending continues to rise year after year, and BOTH chambers of the federal legislature continue to provide proof that the US dollar is not worthy of being the Reserve currency for an already unstable world.

Regardless of what Republicans do, they will be demonized by the media, so you might as well be fiscally responsible, principled and stalwart in your oath to protect the Constitution and it's people from all enemies- foreign and domestic.

Now is the time to start publicly preparing the country for the likelihood of a govt shutdown that will be the result of an intransigent President and radical left wing party hell-bent on spending our country into disgrace and insolvency. Now is the time to play hardball and build appearances of unwavering demands for frugal use of limited tax dollars- complete with attacks on failed tax-favored status for asinine renewable energy boondoggles, foreign aid to enemies of America, and EPA witch hunts backed by junk science and strong-armed with strangulation by regulation.

Talk is cheap, and actions speak louder than words. The actions of Speaker John Boehner have produced much of the problems we now face, and there is no way to justify a vote of confidence for more of the same as the first order of business tomorrow.

Regardless of Congressman Bentivolio's perception of John Boehner or his performance over the last couple of years, Kerry can not present a compelling case against a vote in favor of once again using the secret ballot to vote for the Speaker of the House.

The whole concept of the value of the secret ballot as protection against coercion is readily understood by an 8 yr old, and I hope that Kerry will vote favorably for it should the occasion arise. And if an elected representative shows the courage to put a motion on the floor for a vote on this, Kerry's vote will be a harbinger of things to come.

I invested valuable time, effort, and scarce cash to get Kerry into this position because we share a strong belief in our nation's Founding Principles, and I was hopeful that his convictions would give him the strength to do the right thing when given the chance.

Tomorrow, he will get his chance, and it will be the first of many to prove he is indeed the right man for the job. We- your supporters, are watching with eyes wide, as well as are your detractors. Cuteness doesn't cut it, but toughness will. God Speed, Kerry!

...on this waste of taxpayer money.

He wants to give everyone he sees the Shaka sign while chillin' on the beach with the wife & kids.

Not a great way to demonstrate fiscal accountability whatsoever.

Also not a great way to relate the the middle class whom he claims to support, yet is just itching to find new ways to steal from our paycheck.

Social security withholding has gone back up.

And the numbers from HR-8 don't support any real deficit reduction, so where does the money come from...

OABTW, I would count Boehner's re-election as Speaker as a given.

Remember: The Speaker doesn't necessarily need to be a sitting member of Congress.

Even more interesting scenario: The vote can really be made worthwhile if someone like Paul (or some other bona fide fiscal conservative) somehow gets tapped for the spot.

That'll get their knickers in a bunch!

Next order of business for Republican's (none / 0) (#2)

Is to toss Boehner out on his crying ass. I have never trusted that simpleton. He is a lousy at barganing. Not smart enough to keep from getting painted into a corner by the likes of a mental midget like Harry Ass Reid. It is time for him to go and to go now. Boehner is a large part of what ailes this country. His leadership style is to have a total lack of leadership ability. Get him out now. I have contacted my new Congressman and have let his office know my feelings on the soon to be former Speaker.

    Madam President: Bentivolio?

    Rep. Bentivolio: John Boehner

My surprised look... Doctor "Got milk" CD-1, voted for the Orange Weeper too.

    Not a New Year.

Well, that answers that burning question (none / 0) (#6)

Will he be another Candace Miller, or more akin to Justin Amash?

    Madam President: Amash?

Rep. Amash: count for Other/Present moves from 10 to 11.

    Yes!  A man of principle!

For record... Oink, oink Miller, and Hollywood Huizenga = John Bo(eh)ner.

Thus, by thin margin, the 113th Mawari-butai is set.
