Back a couple years ago Sgt. Mike Oliver of the Michigan State Police, stationed at the Alpena Post, had suspected his wife of having an affair.  He used his position and access to the evidence room at the Alpena post to use evidence on a computer in a child porn case to discredit his wife and the man she was supposedly having an affair with.  He downloaded the porn from the computer in the porn case and was going to transfer it to a computer used by his wife and her purported boyfriend.  He was caught and convicted and then fought his firing from the Michigan State Police.  The case against the person in the original porn case was dismissed because of Sgt. Oliver's illegal actions.  

Sgt. Oliver eventually pleaded guilty to lesser chargers and was fired by the Michigan State Police.  He fought thru the union processes, won his job back and is now being "re-trained".  Ain't the unions just wonderful!
