    Observation About The 2012 Election...

There has been a tremendous amount of soul-searching in conservative circles about the election yesterday. I guess I'm a little late posting.

First off, I want to say that I can't think of the last time I actually felt words hit me, physically, as when they said "Fox News calls Ohio for Obama."

Now that a few hours have passed, I have to say I'm completely baffled the way the election shook out. For example, here in Michigan, we rejected every single ballot proposal put before voters. These proposals include Proposal 2 (a union power grab) and Proposal 3 (a `renewable energy' mandate). These two Ballot proposals are issues Obama and Debbie Stabenow (one half of our Democrat Dynamic Duo in the Senate) are clearly in favor of. Yet, Michigan re-elects both Obama and Stabenow by a wide margin while not supporting two of their core issues.

    It makes no sense.

Better yet, Prop 5 reigned in government expansion by limiting ease of tax hike/creation.  Yet, an alleged republican governor joined with the ANGRIEST MAYOR IN AMERICA, and the public sector goonions to defeat said limit by fear mongering that somehow the nanny government teat may run dry.  Transparency, and accountability be damned!

To add insult to injury with Prop 6, we had an alleged republican governor not only <strike>trample</strike> bypass our elected representation in the legislature who said NO, then stripped funds from any state involvement in DRIC planning, with alleged republican governor going rogue in his quest for his crony capitalist non-agreement agreement bridge, while also subjecting a private "I built that" businessman to nepotism judicial appointment shenanigans, then throughout his taxpayer subsidized bully pulpit bus tour, that alleged republican governor painted that bridge owner as the villain.

Honestly, with Snyder as the flagship of the MI-GOP, his love of taxes, expanding bureaucracy, and contempt towards the voice of We the People on the right who have for years opposed the DRIC, I can't begin to fathom how anyone can think that the Obama, and Stabenow, results would be anything different than what they are.

Perhaps the Tieless Won should've paid attention to the "You Didn't Build That" meme throughout the convention in Tampa.  Even the dumbest of the dumb would've picked up on that, and backed off attacking the private business guy who legally owns a bridge for the past 3+ decades, and happens to be wealthy.  Success is a bad thing?  Not so says, VP candidate Paul Ryan.

Nobody in Michigan campaigned harder for the ideology of Barack, and Debbie, than, Rick Snyder.

    Nobody.

of gimmee, gimmee, gimmee.  I read a post some where yesterday where a gal standing in line to vote had two young ladies in front of her.  They were wearing their pajamas and sporting slippers, each with a couple of young ones, tattoos galore, piercings, the latest and greatest phones glued to their ears.  That is our electorate people. They could not even get dressed to go vote.  This is how far down the hole we have gone.

As for the proposals - everyone I talked to on either side were voting no on all because it was going to jammed into the Michigan constitution.  At least they were somewhat educated on what that meant.
