Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    A Question About The Wall.

How long should it be up?

Should it hang until the next election is over? Should we update with fresh scarlet letters from even more recent miserable failures of those who are hanging patiently for all this time? Should we offer a positive spin on their recent accomplishments and then sigh, noting how they really screwed up before, and then point again to the left?

While waiting for some discussion on this, it should be noted that our concern about the debt ceiling being increased has been vindicated.  We were right, and those guys on the left were not. The trillions they added to the burden our children must carry, cannot be voted away as easily as their tenure in congress.  Experience DOES account for something, but it is not an excuse for repeatedly ducking responsibility, and they are indeed responsible for that fact.

Good men who screw up need to admit and own up to it, and offer their mistakes as lessons.  Personally, I see genuine contrition as a character building exercise.

However, I have somehow missed any claims of ownership recently.  Point me to them, and the name comes down.

    Leave It Up!!! (5.00 / 1) (#1)

They need to keep on their toes if they want my vote and seeing their ugly mugs every day helps remind me to check their voting records, facebook pages, etc. to see how they are trying to screw me this week.

    I'll second that! (5.00 / 1) (#2)

When Nick did something similar a few years back with the capitol critters who gave us a tax hike (and sadly featured only democrats), but that was up for about a year (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).

Not only did these boneheads prominently displayed on the left give us this (the first of three), but they didn't even have the common sense to back away from it like they did with this stink-bomb of a bill.

Jason, I wouldn't hold my breath for even one of them to ever fess up and say that they have ever  screwed up.

They simply lack the integrity to do so.

Hell, they didn't even have the common decency to respond to a request from a local Tea Party regarding one of their votes.

The Hall of Shame makes no difference to them. However, for us, I see no reason why this shouldn't be left up until next August to keep their actions fresh in everyone's mind.

We should be harder on those who would expect (5.00 / 1) (#3)

our support then even on the marxists. Fred Upton blatantly lied about moving to repeal his stupid light bulbs and has taken no steps to do so. McCotter, in whose district I vote, wants to be president, portrays himself as a conservative then votes to raise the debt ceiling. Beneshik, in whose district I pay property taxes also voted for the debt ceiling increase. I know the limp wristed nerd is not on the wall, but he needs to be there....or on a wall all his own.

They must not take us for granted.

    . . . a better idea.

Jason, you and I recently discussed the philosophy of "electoral decimation," whereby we select the ten percent of the republican side of Michigan's congressional delegation and both chambers of the state legislature, and then specifically target them for either primary ouster or outright recall.  This would roughly equate to one congressman, three state senators, and six state representatives.

Thus, I propose that the wall on the left be rearranged a bit:

Identify at least one true stinker amongst the nine republicans in Michigan's current congressional delegation (any of the three in this group will do nicely), at least three true stinkers amongst the 26 republicans in Michigan's current state senate delegation (you and I have discussed Richardville and Jansen), and at least six true stinkers amongst the 63 republicans in Michigan's current state house delegation.

Let those be the ones prominently featured on the wall . . . along with the case for either primary ouster (there is a reason that federal and state representatives have to answer at the ballot box every other year) or outright recall (because we just can't wait that long with regard to state senators).  I submit that Paul Scott being featured prominently on the Wall of Shame would make very clear that the Michigan Tea Party Patriot Network is supporting an otherwise-union-driven recall effort, but that's just me.

When Nick had the wall up, he linked each picture to a feature article explaining the case for that person's presence on the wall.  I think that you should do the same.

I love this post and ALL of the comments. (none / 0) (#6)

Please keep them up, unless they change behavior.

Add to the wall. Provide links, add to links.

Yeah, the Nerd has won a spot imo.
