    Michigan has a future.

A future that relies on real individual choice, and freedom of association, as well as protection to make that choice in the workplace.

As this posting is made, several news conferences will be made throughout Michigan simultaneously, with a couple more following up at 3PM.  The Freedom to work coalition, a grass roots effort to bring liberty back to the workplace is announcing its intent to see Michigan as the first Right-To-Work state in the great lakes basin.  This means JOBS.

NEWS CONFERENCES ARE BEING HELD TODAY
    Thursday, June 30, 2011

Announcing the formation of Michigan Freedom to Work, a statewide coalition to promote passage of a state civil rights law guaranteeing that all employees are free to choose whether to join or financially support a labor union, without facing the threat of being discriminated against or fired based on that choice.

    Go Team!

    Senator Mike Kowall (none / 0) (#3)
by RushLake on Fri Jul 01, 2011 at 05:49:53 AM EST
We heard this discussed on WTCM yesterday morning and immediately emailed Kowall. He was advised that my wife, a former (forced) member of the UAW and a current (forced) member of the Operating Engineers (even more useless than the UAW) and I (a former member and official of the UAW) know well the evils of unions and fully support this legislation. No word on whether Kowall had seen the email or if he was busy on Snyder's lap trying to figure out a way to tax pensions more.

Was giving Mr. Pogo's linked Pravda article a once over... any Police or Firemen among the R-T-Wers?

That's the sacred carrot phobia utilized by the elected class when it comes to budget wrangling.  Perhaps Governor Walker leaving them off the table in Wisconsin is their only mistake thus far.  It left a lot of good folk there indentured at the feet of crap like what Scott Lewis reported in Detroit.

    Great job, J-man!

    and... Go Marty!

    Talking points? (none / 0) (#8)

Great job on this as usual. I would like to contact my local representatives regarding the RTW movement and want to know if there are any formal talking points to follow.
