      Kelly Bernero, the oldest of Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero's two daughters, faces misdemeanor charges including impaired driving and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop last week, court records show.

      Kelly Bernero, 23, announced this year that she is considering running for state Rep. Joan Bauer's seat in 2012, when the Lansing Democrat's third and final term is up.

      Maybe if her daddy buys her a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 she could run against Stabenow in the future...

      Oh yeah!

      What's even better after I wrote that? I got threatened.

      Needless to say, I had an initial response, but wrote another one before sending after I talked to my buddy and got the straight scoop from him.

      Haven't heard anything since. Owned the Ol' Boy Virg's $600/hr attorney for the cost of a stamp, paper, and an envelope.
