An Opportunity in Lansing and Rally Tomorrow!

While the country is watching Wisconsin, this might be the best time in which to look at the way organized labor interacts with its employers.  In this case that would be the public, as taxpayers.  The entire affair and the disconnect that the public sector unions have with reality, underlines the failure that is government, where such entities have undue influence.  A small request to have a slightly larger contribution for the public employee benefits is met with an "on no you don't!"

In other words, the bigger the labor presence, the better chance of financial ruin for governments both large and small.  For me, it seems that jobs lost, would be far worse than the alternative of giving up a little in concessions.   Wisconsin has all eyes on it, and there are those of us who frankly hope they are open to de-certification of the public sector unions.  However, we might not be holding our breath in anticipation.

At the very least we can use this attention to point out that Michigan, like Wisconsin needs to face down the public sector 'occupation' by big labor, and restore a little sanity by passing right to work legislation, and addressing the disparities between public and private sector benefit costs, which would solve the state's budget woes nearly by itself.  Our legislators need your support and encouragement.

The pro labor forces are paying people to bus in and attend pro labor rallies in many states including Michigan.  They have one scheduled for tomorrow.

    Be there for a counter-rally.

I knew about the protest scheduled for tomorrow, but the counter-rally is too short notice for me to attend.

I'd be curious to see who or what shows up tomorrow. The people that I know who are in the Teamsters knew nothing about it. Neither did those in the UAW, even though some off-shoot group is the one actually organizing tomorrow's rally.

they have a good tea party turn out, but at those times I am at work.  I would love to attend as it is right in my back yard but I have to work to pay my own health care and pension and also pay those bennies to the state workers. And our guv doesn't possess a pair to rectify that inequity so until we get some one who does want to correct the sinking ship I have to go to work.

while running some errands.  He was talking about how the unions are "training the labor protesters to be nice".

Training them to be reasonable or something like that.. Imagine that.

It's a wee bit too late for that, wouldn't you say?.  I mean like really, really, way too late for it.

On top of that, the DNC minions bused in to Wisconsin chose to f#@% with the wrong dude.  And then to have the Wisconsin Senate Democowards abandon state to avoid a vote, while in hiding, making demands by phone though CNN?

Mmmnnnyah, teach 'em manners like that'll make things all better?

    Riiiiiiiiiiiight.  LOL

It'll never excuse them for their actions and behavior displayed for being asked to contribute 5.8% to their pensions (a 4.8% increase up from 1%), paid an averaged $78,000.00 for 180 days of work and contribute 12% to their public healthcare premiums, a 6% increase, which is half the national average.

    The last three statements:

"If the unions bust here - get busted up here it's gonna be like a house of cards and all unions across the United States are going to be broken."

Pinch me!  I'm dreaming!  Oh, what a glorious thought that'd be to have happen.

"If it happens here it's gonna keep going in other places all around the country. And it's really scary. It really is like pre-Nazi Germany."

Um, the National Socialist German Workers' Party?  And, somehow pre-Nazi was bad for this world let alone the good 'ol U.S. of A?  That really is what is educating America's future, folks.

"I do not want Wal-Mart Corporations or Disney Corporations teaching the children of the United States."

As opposed to Fascist/Communist/Progressive/Marxist/Socialist propaganda that they teach?  At least Wal-Mart and Disney are successful capitalists.  Children would be further ahead learning something from them.

Good Lord!  Homeschool if you can people.
