I would like to take a moment to offer a little gratitude to Kevin Rex Heine, AKA: KRH, AKA: "Snoops, the Cub reporter", for his excellent work in obtaining not just a couple of interviews, but a Great number, that give us a little more insight to the workings of party hopefuls. Many of the delegates heading to convention today and tomorrow might not have had any idea who these folks are except by measures served up in the fliers and materials handed out to convention visitors.

This community relies on the thoughtful contributions made by conservative and Republican minded individuals (In the spirit of definition - not necessarily party) who are seeking the truth, and a better understanding of WTF (recent uses noted) is going on.

Kevin has provided his service to this country for 20+ years as a military man, and has now brought some of his other skills to our pages and helped the ongoing debate of who speaks for us by presenting his efforts in this manner. This series has been enlightening, and must surely have taken some effort.

As someone new to the personalities on the political scene, and with so many new ones, Kevin's reporting is extremely helpful.

. . . but I honestly don't view myself as being all that special. I just took the task in front of me and got it done. My interviewing philosophy is to keep the focus on the interviewee and let him or her tell the story.

My original intention (perhaps too ambitious) was to get all 14 state party candidates, plus Sharon Wise (who's running unopposed for State Co-Chair) and Ron Weiser (who has just under 24 hours left in his tenure as MIGOP Chairman). I wasn't able to pull that larger goal off, but I did what I could with the interviews that I did land.

I report, the voters decide.
