The NFL did a great story on Military Flyovers at football games (h/t to Moonbattery). Back many years ago when Wurtsmith AFB was still open in Oscoda, Michigan the organizers of the Alpena Fourth of July parade arranged for a flyover of the entire parade route down Chisholm St. (US 23 North). It was so awesome as these military machines flew over us at tree top level. Of course the horses that made up about 30% of the parade didn't seem to appreciate it - but it was a great moment in the parade's history and one my kids will never forget. They still say that was their favorite 4th of July parade!
