Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    A Tough Call

He could have won.  Brian Calley was the selected Lt. Governor pick by Rick Snyder.  A late nomination by Republicans from the West Michigan Tea Party groups was both surprising and warmly welcomed by about half of those present.

I have absolutely NOTHING against Brian Calley, and know even less about Bill Cooper.  But one thing was clear, Cooper could have won this.  The video preceding this withdrawal makes it pretty clear.   This may seem strange, given my harsh criticisms of the past, but I have come to like Mr. Snyder.  Behind the scenes, while the MI GOP leadership was trying to avoid it, he supported Cooper's ability to have a fair vote.  He apparently had no objection to it.

This video demonstrates a unique character.  Something I have seen a few times recently, even while seeing its alternate.  A man CAN put the movement of ideas through a unifying motion and sacrifice his own goals.  It is likely this will not be the last we see of Mr. Cooper, as he has shown his ability to look at the bigger picture.

    The Hat is off sir.

. . . for Bill Cooper was never called.  Two shows of hands for Brian Calley were.  I'll be posting about this a little later.  Do you happen to have the video of another part of that dust-up laying around somewhere?

...if this is how it intends to convince Tea Party members to work with them.

I'll give Mr. Cooper kudos for conceding the way that it did this weekend. It demonstrated a lot of class that will (hopefully) help out any future campaigns he may engage in.

However, the Tea Party members whom I've spoken with that attended (and were warned by me that double-dealing tricks such as this MIGHT occur), are slowly beginning to remove their rose-colored glasses regarding their "choices".

Mr. Snyder supported Mr. Cooper's ability to have a fair vote.

You have to admit Snyder had absolutely nothing at stake.
