Americans for Prosperity will be bringing former Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican Party vice presidential nominee in 2008, to Michigan in a few weeks.

Governor Palin will be in northwestern Oakland County on May 1 for the Americans for Prosperity-sponsored Defending the American Dream Summit.

This will be a great opportunity to hear -- and meet -- Governor Palin and other leading free-market, center-right activists and leaders from across Michigan.

Speak out against the state employee pay raise (none / 0) (#2)
by jdwalshjr on Sun Mar 14, 2010 at 09:58:20 PM EST
I hope she will join many of us in taking a stand against the 3% pay raise for unionized state workers. We presently have a $1.6 billion budget deficit and can't afford the raise. The state Civil Service Commission has rescinded the raise for non-unionized workers, but rescinding a raise for unionized workers will require a 2/3 vote of both houses of the Legislature. Hopefully she/we can all put pressure on the Legislature to pull the trigger on this vote and put some semblance of a clamp on state government's runaway spending.
