Discussion for the point of attacking a friend is hardly constructive.  If you disagree with a stand, you say so, but calling someone a Fu^#&&*ick is beyond acceptable.  and it usually only happens when we have trolls.. It might also happen when a friend feels like his junk has been stepped on too.  I cannot counsel anything for that condition but to wear cast iron trousers.. friend.

Perhaps a flame suit as well.

If you REALLY feel offended that someone disagrees with any of your thoughts, then try to at least inject your venom in a sugar cube.  Maybe a little humor and banter, but the direct name calling merely makes one look the fool.

Attacks on policy, or open handed slaps on those who drive poor public policy (Liberals, lefties, commies, etc..) are indeed fair game.  Personal attacks on regulars or those posters or commentators who have their own version of conservatism is not cool.  At all.

Its a content driven site.  The content comes from participants.  Participants don't usually wish to engage in contentious wordy battles.  OR they may have a level they are willing to accept. Personally my threshold is quite high, but some of the greatest thoughts come from the occasional commenter who now may merely lurk.
