Report from the Tea Party in front of the Auto Show January 11, 2010

The temperature was in the teens, the wind chill was at zero, yet dozens of tea party protesters showed up regardless of the harsh conditions to exercise their free speech right and demand a redress from Congress. The typical 45 minute drive into Detroit took me almost 3 hours this morning, but I got there. Here I was in back of the Renaisance Center that now houses Government Motors (you can hear the bitter wind):

Just so Chris Matthews knows, the tea party protesters were not all white:

And here was the scene on video:

So considering the weather and driving conditions, not a bad turnout at all, and far better than the 12 Muslims that showed up for a terrorism protest under much better weather and driving conditions. In any case, who shows up soon after than LaRouche supporters, possibly to taint the tea party:

I went over to some of the pro-union, pro-nationalized healthcare counterprotesters and spent the bulk of my time interviewing them. All I planned to do was ask simple questions like "where in the Constitution doers the federal government get its authority to nationalize healthcare?" I mean - what could go wrong with questions like that? See here:

And of course I also got these kinds of people:

    See here:

I'm pretty sure she asked no other interviewer that question. And how crude to ask if someone is a teabagger? Does this woman not understand the derogatory, dismissive nature of the term that is slang for a sexual act popular in the homosexual community? Of course she does, or at least should. Here's another interview where, towards the end, I am asked if I am a 'teabagger':

Nice. Here's another counterprotester I interviewed: (All you need to know about this guy is right towards the end of the video - other than him wanting to double the minimum wage)

And this was probably the best example of why people need to read the Constitution and the federalist papers:

Yikes. Nancy Pelosi, by the way, was not seen by the time I had to leave. Of course, she would not have seen the protesters anyway, probably choosing instead to be led in through a back door where she will be given VIP treatment on our dime. Figures...

Without at least one LaRouche type trying to introduce a conspiracy or two.

    Thanks for the report.

The Speakerette of the US House of Ill Repute, Nancy Pelosi, visited the Detroit Auto Show this morning.Flying in on her personal taxpayer funded 727. Telling reporters she was here to "Check out the back 40." So we not only live in fly over country but now according to her lowness we are just a bunch of gap tooth hillbillies with tobacco juice running down our chins. It is bad enough that the President wouldn't step foot in Michigan during the primaries now this insult. If it weren't for Democrats bent on destroying the Michigan economy because of their misguided belief in the Prophet ALBORE claiming the internal combustion engine was worse then nuclear weapons. Michigan was once the engine of Democracy having the 8th largest economy in the world. Now we are a pariah. The story is from the American Thinker and is here http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/01/pelosi_tours_the_economic_wrec.html
