I attended the Northville and Livonia TEA Parties, though I spent the bulk of my time in Norhville.

What an amazing crowd, and when I say AMAZING i mean..... 1,000+ (according to Northville PD I talked to).

Lots of good speakers, music, and good people.

I just can't explain how excited I am when I see how many American's are fed up with the Fed's!

Mike Cox gave a great speech, I got to meet him afterwords and I have to say I am impressed.  I also met Thad McCotter and all I have to say is GOD BLESS that man and the work his does in Congress.

How were the other TEA Parties?

    I was there too (none / 0) (#1)

Went to the Northville parade and the tea party and had a great day.  At the parade, Congressman McCotter got an awesome response. He is working really hard.  And then I went to the Northville tea party and had a great time.  All the speeches were great, but I especially liked Cox's speech. Coxtalked about the need for economic opportunity and Obama and Granholm's limiting of liberty.  I tried to talk to Cox, but I gave up because he was surrounded after his speech.  I also liked the Thomas Paine speech.  It was a great day.

    Lansing Tea Party (none / 0) (#2)

Today I attended the Lansing Tea Party! My guess is there were +-5,000 attendees. I found myself surrounded by Americans concerned about the direction their country is taking today. I say "their" country because it is clear to them that it is not "Washingtons" America. Great speakers, great music, great people, great signs! Very GREAT time! The basic theme was to get back to the Constitution and "Stop the spending, my kids and grandkids don't have any more money to send to Washington, or Lansing for that matter!" Let's vote the bums out ASAP.

Tea party for bombs? (none / 0) (#4)

I hope one of the main agendas for Tea Party activists is ending US involvement in foreign wars? That's the thing that's really killing our economy.

Grand Rapids and East Tawas (none / 0) (#10)
by Kevin Rex Heine on Wed Jul 08, 2009 at 12:24:59 PM EST
The TEA party in Grand Rapids drew a crowd of about 1,500, received about a paragraph in the Grand Rapids Press (which devoted much more ink to the more heavily attended party in Grandville), and a couple of paragraphs (with a video) on Get Your Justice Live.

East Tawas has, rather than a one-day TEA party, been holding "Freedom Week" from last Friday (July 3rd) to next Friday (July 10th).  I was the featured speaker on Monday, July 6th, and will post that as soon as I get the video.
