Due to that pesky thing called work... (none / 0) (#1)

...I wasn't able to attend the protest yesterday.

But based on the photos posted (kicking the blogprof & Co. out to Bunert???), I see that the First Amendment is alive and well on today's taxpayer supported college campuses.

The presense of the Macomb County Sheriff's Dept mounted division was also a dead giveaway. I've only seen them appear at parades, fairs and in crowd control situations.

And on a side note to Nick, his favorite county commissioner was apparently denied entrance to yesterdays town hall, er, Prez. B.O.'s speech promoting his newest gov't program, er, I mean snake oil pitch:

At about 2 p.m., a White House organizer of the event announced that those in line would not be let in. The crowd awaiting entrance included Macomb County Clerk Carmella Sabaugh, Warren City Council members and Macomb County Charter Commission members. County Commissioner Carey Torrice was reportedly outspoken in her insistence that she be allowed entrance to the event.

"Are you telling us to go home?" one man in the disappointed crowd yelled out. "Yes," was the response from the White House organizer.

But the last person stopped in a VIP line, former Detroit mayor Dennis Archer, was allowed through the gates by the Secret Service detail.

Who would EVER turn away THIS? (none / 0) (#3)

I just don't get it.  If this doesn't scream "take me seriously and let me see the President" then I'm at a loss as to what does.
