We interrupt this political blogging to bring you this important announcement:

      You guys are FREAKING AWESOME!

As you've probably gathered from the headline and my subsequent enthusiasm, this here little blogging community just became the recipient of quite an honor.

Yesterday evening a publication no less venerable than THE Washington Post named RightMichigan.com one of the "Best State Political Blogs" in the nation.

In fact, we were one of only three blogs to receive the honor in Michigan. (Susan Demas and her Capitol Chronicles plus the other team over at MichLib received the additional nods.)

That sort of a title is a testament to the weight and importance of the community YOU have created.  You guys, the RightMichigan team, should be proud!

So a big CONGRATULATIONS from me to everyone who has blogged, read, commented, edited, lurked, sat down for an interview and provided a news tip.  You guys made it happen.

      Props!

I list you on my side bar as the Best State Political Blog.  Who are they to be calling me a liar?

Think I'll send them a tea bag or something.

Man Nick you have really built something up nice here, and I think I'm not alone in thanking you for your dedication to your passion for passion it surely must be.

This is great exposure.  But by no means is the work done nor our tasks any easier.

Notice who else was listed?  MichiganLibel.

Never fear - principles and ideas will win out in the long run.  Keep up the great fight!

      Outstanding!!! (none / 0) (#13)

      :)

"Free institutions are next to impossible in a country made up of different nationalities." - John Stuart Mill

And no, he does not mean individuals acculturated to the proposition of a proposition nation.  He means a nation bound by blood.  For if a nation will not conserve the stock of the folk that created it, and without which it will not endure, then really what good is it?

The passing away of European Man: really the point of Pat Buchanan's oeuvre.

What will do we have to prevent that catastrophe?  I pose the question.
