      Granholm has KILLED higher ed (none / 0) (#2)

      Here are the facts, courtesy Tom Long at the Ivory Tower:

      "Granholm talks a good game about the importance of higher education to prepare Michigan's kids for the knowledge jobs of the future.

      But during the last five years, Michigan ranked 49th among the 50 states in its support for higher education, according to Grapevine, an annual compilation of state tax appropriations for higher ed.

      Michigan's support rose a meager 3.9% during the last five years, compared to an average 29.2% rise among states."

      Is Granholm Trying to Destroy Michigan?
      I think the proper wording is "Granholm has destroyed Michigan." Never has a state that was so economically powerful and wealthy fallen so far into the dumper in so short a time. I don't know what can be done. We have two more years of this failure to suffer through. The people have the power to take it into their own hands and that is what must happen before the state can begin to recover from the total incompetence of this woman and her minions on the Left. WE THE PEOPLE can and must retake control of the government of this state.
