A pro-life question on Christmas Day

Today is the day we celebrate the birth of the savior of all mankind. But there is a story with a strong pro-life message in the days before Jesus birth. God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth to Mary to inform her of the high honor of bearing Jesus, after which Mary, who at the time was a young teenager about 13 years of age and unmarried, fled to Judea for obvious reasons. She visited her relative Elizabeth who was 6 months pregnant with John the Baptist. From Luke 1 (NIV):

39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

A few things in this segment. First, Mary was so early into the pregancy that Jesus couldn't have been more than what we refer to these days as a zygote. Note however that Elizabeth refers to Mary as a mother, way before she was to give birth. She even refers to her own unborn baby as a baby. Not a fetus or a lump of cells but a conscious baby no different in personhood than one born. And John the Baptists already had a special sensory perception that he recognized being in the presence of Jesus, who again was little more than a zygote at the time. In the biblical view, a zygote is no different than a fetus that is no different than a born baby. All are identified with the exact same greek word that translates into "baby." It is a lesson that we in the pro-life community know all too well, and one that the pro-abort community tries to bury at every chance.

But here's the chilling part of Mary's story in the context of today's pop culture, and one that should leave a shudder down the spine of any pro-abort that calls themselves Christian: if abortion were legal 2000 years ago, and Mary went on to have an abortion in Judea, what would she have aborted?
