Advice for Michigan's Budget BattleBy pauldpeterson, Section News
With the State of Michigan "Budget Battle" on, coupled with my candidacy to join the body of legislators in Lansing, I am submitting the best evidence I have researched and written with my University colleagues credited below. The research is real-world, and the writing is worthy of publication, or so I have been told. It is applicable to any state, any economy, and body of human beings engaging in capitalism, the reasons why free-markets should be unfettered, that is, FREE.
This should shed some light on both why the Dems are NOT to be trusted with taxation policy (not to mention ANY government policy), AND why I am the right candidate at the right time to send to government to Fix Michigan, why acting ethically on a proper education is so important, especially in government. The Dems got an education in economics too, so if they already know such economic facts, are they misleading the uneducated and messing it up on purpose? This is the question, and leads to a disturbing conclusion that, in fact, that's exactly what they are doing, especially if you look at how it plays into national politics. What you will see here is that a capitalist economy is NOT a zero-sum gain, though Dems would like to mislead people that it is. In fact, it is supposed to be an ever-growing pie of which one can grab a piece with a little effort and perseverance. I say "supposed to be" only because the Socialism we're heading toward is destroying capitalism; it is Socialism that is a zero-sum gain. Further, it is the government's budget that is actually supposed to be a zero-sum gain within the context of growing capitalism, but the Dems take power by making the public sector (government) grow instead. In fact, if the government's budget was set up correctly, it would increase/decrease with the ebb-and-flow of the business cycle, an economic trend that can never be eliminated if we are to enjoy capitalism at all.
In summary, what ails our fair state is too much taxin' and too much spendin'. Together with my colleagues currently in the electoral process, we aim to lay the conservative "smack-down" in state government and Rock the House, Reagan style!
