Who are the NERD fund donors Mr Snyder?

    Raise the curtain.

    Who's working for Obama?

Last week I was sitting in McDonald's in Lansing working on a project when I heard a young man speaking to the workers behind the counter.  He was asking them if they were registered to vote and if they were going to vote for Obama.  He had a clipboard and was wearing an Obama t-shirt. He told his impromptu audience behind the counter that McCain was going to be, "four more years of Bush policy."

When he turned around with his food and set it down in a booth nearby, I couldn't help myself and asked, "Can you tell me what you mean by four more years of Bush?  I am just curious as to how you ended up where you are politically."

He was very friendly and eager to share his political opinions.  He went into the usual talking points about energy, health care and the war.  He then asked me where I stood politically.
I informed him that I was pretty much a "right wing radical."

Then things got interesting.  This young man, Greg, was from New York and was heading up the Obama campaign in Lansing.  He use to be a socialist activist but figured out that being a socialist wouldn't get him anywhere so he decided to work for Obama instead.

I asked him about the Born Alive bills that Obama voted against, which would have guaranteed medical treatment for viable babies born alive after botched abortions.  He told me he wasn't familiar with the issue.

We went back and forth a bit and he said that the problem with the pro-life movement was that we wanted the babies to be born, but were not willing to guarantee them universal medical care or early childhood government education programs.  I said, "So what you are saying is that if are not willing to guarantee them government programs, they should just die?"

He also complained that McCain was not working to register voters. I assured him that McCain was very interested in new voters but wasn't going to pay folks to get that done.  He admitted that 90% of the voters he was registering were voting for Obama- big surprise.

So there you have it.  Obama has recruited to represent him a former socialist who has never heard of the Born Alive bill, supports  government subsidies for alternative energy, universal healthcare, even more government education, and moving this country away from its roots of a Republic form of government and Capitalist form of economy.

One of the last things he told me was that Obama being a community organizer and now a candidate gave him hope because he was a community organizer too.

I learned a valuable lesson from this meeting.   If you say something loud enough, passionate enough, and long enough, people will believe it (okay, I already knew that).   I have made a pledge to start fighting back against the insanity of liberal policy and point people back to the foundation of our country.   We are a Republic, not a democracy.  We are a Capitalist country, not a Socialist.    We were founded on Christian principals and the rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I know many of you are out there, pounding the streets and telling the truth.  Thank you!  Keep it up and maybe we can turn tide towards freedom.

I wouldn't mind continuing the policies that have kept the homeland safe since 9/11. I can see in other states, even some that border Michigan that jobs and prosperity are the rule rather then the exception as they here in the land of Zarina Jenny of No Jobs. A national unemployment rate of less them 6% was okay in 1996 when the two Bubbas ran for reelection but now it just won't do. COME TO MICHIGAN. The lending crisis? Who gave us that? DEMOCRATS of course. Their greed and willingness to fill their own pockets is all that counts with them. Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Chuck U Schummer, Kent Conrad and the list goes on. Why did this crisis befall us? Because of record oil and gas prices not to mention higher food costs.Buy gas and food or pay the house payment. Some choice huh? Why? Democrats refusing to allow AMERICA to increase our production of domestic sources of engery and to build the power plants and refineries that AMERICA needs. That these slugs can impose hardship on the rest of us while they fill their pockets because of the elected office they hold must STOP. It is time to fire anything with a D after it's name.
Overall the economy is strong, every place but Michigan. The Homeland is more secure then it was, but yes we need more work to make it so. But that is hard to do when many of the largest cities in America, run by DEMOCRATS make their cities a sanctuary for illegal aliens and terrorists.
Our education system in this county could be better. All we need to do is to get rid of the Department of Education. The UnConstitutional usurpation of power by Lyndon Johnson and a Democrat controlled Congress has given us the current Political indoctrination education system we now see. Teachers don't exist, they have been replaced with political indoctrination technicians. Just look at Detroit and you see the perfect Socialist school system. That is by design. They seek not to educate but to indoctrinate and to keep the students as ignorant as they can. Ignorant people question less and believe what they are told.
No, I would rather have a third Bush term from John McCain rather then a second Carter term from Hussien Obama. AMERICA cannot take a Carter/Obama/Granholm type of Government now. Besides Obama is a puppet. The trick is to reveal the puppetmaster. Who is pulling the strings. The answer might supprise a great many people.

    Hi Wendy,

I enjoyed your article this week on the Obama supporter.

It's great you had the courage to confront this man - in a friendly way of course instead of staying silent when in reality you were bursting with questions. Good for you in reaching out to find out more details and sharing your own view point as well. Too often conservatives live quiet lives and since they are not so vocal, it's a misconception that their views and opinions are not of as much value as those of louder and more bousterous liberals.

Liberals are well known for their activism, their public boycotts, their constant rallys and living at mom and dad's place much longer than they should. Conservatives are known for running America's small businesses, working at jobs long hours and taking care of their own daily lives and not expecting cradle to grave handouts.

Both groups differ greatly in how they really feel about America. One group wants America of the old to die out (much like they support death of babies, the old and the imperfect) and they want to create a heaven on earth (that's what happens when people deny there is a God and a higher power, you try to create something else to take its place). They also operate in a fact free zone and that leads to so many problems.

The other group understands we are nation of great imperfections yet, we don't give up striving to be the best we can be even if it takes trial and error to get there. When you mention the Founding Fathers to liberals, they go nuts over anyone refering to those white dead guys who are long gone. It takes conservatives to remind those liberals that those dead white guys INVENTED this nation, put this REPUBLIC on the map and to give all the rest of us the chance for true life, liberty and happiness as no other nation has ever done. The Founding Fathers offered us the PROMISE of a more perfect union, it was up to us to get it there.

So Wendy, ask questions, listen well and speak out yourself. We can only get the masses to understand the facts when conservatives take time to share them.  Education occurs in many corridors in this land, not just Ivy league schools of thought and in university classrooms. Sometimes, the best classrooms are all around us. Even in a McDonald's in Lansing.

    Good job.

    Reckless accusations of infanticide

Some people just don't care who they hurt to advance their political agenda.

Accusing a loving father of two beautiful little girls of wanting to kill babies isn't just wrong on the facts, it's the most disgusting and manipulative kind of hate politics around. But anti-abortion ideologues with a long history of partisan attacks are still launching an unconscionable new ad smearing Barack Obama.

The attackers torture and twist logic and history by willfully misinterpreting a vote by Barack Obama in the Illinois State Senate to come up with their wild accusation.

Here's the truth about Barack Obama and the bill:

        * At the time Barack voted against a bill containing language designed to protect infants who were "born alive," such protection was already on the books as Illinois state law.[1]
        * The accusations against Barack are so reckless that not even the Republican state senator who sponsored the bill will support them. In fact, he freely admits that "None of those who voted against SB-1082 favored infanticide."[2]
        * The bill was opposed by many legislators and groups like the Illinois Medical Society because of the unintended impact it would have had on other laws and legal precedents in Illinois.[3]
        * Barack is on the record[3] saying that he would have supported a similar bill that came up in Congress -- but that didn't pose a threat to a woman's right to choose the way the Illinois bill did.[4]

    http://www.ilga.gov/senate/transcripts/ ... 033001.pdf - There's the punk's statement, along with Patrick O'Malley's.

    SENATOR O'MALLEY:

Thank you. Madam President, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Senate. Senate Bill 1093, as amended, provides that no abortion procedure which, in the medical judgment of the attending physician, has a reasonable likelihood of resulting in a live born child shall be undertaken unless there is in attendance a physician other than the physician performing or inducing the abortion who shall assess the child's viability and provide medical care for the child. The bill further provides that if there is a medical emergency, a physician inducing or performing an abortion which results in a live born child shall provide for the soonest practical attendance of a physician other than the physician performing or inducing the abortion to immediately assess the child's viability and provide medical care for the child. The bill additionally provides that a live child born as a result of an -- of --of an abortion procedure shall be fully recognized as a human person and accorded immediate protection under the law. All reasonable measures consistent with good medical practice, including the compilation of appropriate medical records, shall be taken to preserve the life and health of the child. I'd be pleased to answer any questions there may be.

SENATOR OBAMA:.........Unfortunately, this bill goes a little bit further, and so I just want to suggest...that this is probably not going to survive constitutional scrutiny. Number one, whenever we define a previable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we're really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a -- a child, a nine-month-old -- child that was delivered to term. That determination then... would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it -- it would essentially bar abortions, because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an antiabortion statute. ... this essentially says that a doctor is required to provide treatment to a previable child, or fetus, however way you want to describe it. Viability is the line that has been drawn by the Supreme Court to determine whether or not an abortion can or cannot take place. And if we're placing a burden on the doctor that says you have to keep alive even a previable child as long as possible and give them as much medical attention as -- as is necessary to try to keep that child alive, then we're probably crossing the line in terms of unconstitutionality.
