Pedicabs to start rolling in Lansing

LANSING -- Anyone tired of hoofing it on the streets of Michigan's capital city soon will have another alternative: the pedicab.

A company based in a Grand Rapids suburb will soon begin offering the human-powered cab service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in and around downtown Lansing.

Elite Pedicabs co-owner Randy McCullough said the pedicabs will charge $3 for two-block rides and one bowl of rice for each additional block.

OK I made up that last, but this is America, people, and in America we use motors to get around, not muscles (we use those for recreation only). And when petrol is no longer cost effective in 50-100 years we'll still used motors, electric ones, powered by nuke plants - because we are not going back the pre-industrial economy - got it, greenies?
