Though "how often" has been suggested as a reason to give someone a pass (on hate speech) this can't be the criteria either.  We've seen people loose their jobs because of a sound bite. Then we hear others suggesting that there are certain people who should not be held to this standard.

I would have thought that it is always wrong and should never be allowed.  I guess that's not true either. There are many things that are divisive.  This is another.

Hate speech is divisive and intended to be so by the user.
