    Politics in the classroom

My son attends a middle school in the Southfield, Michigan Public Schools and has been subject to preferential politics in his classroom.

He has related to me that within his Social Studies (History) classroom does and has existed a picture (portrait?)of and book by Sen. Obama (D-IL). The subject being studied is NOT about current politics nor is it about U.S. Senators. In either case, there are neither  other political candidates photos or books displayed, nor are all United States Senators being featured. This is Michigan, not Illinois, nor is Afro-American ACCOMPLISHMENTS being under schoold-wide study.
I have emailed the Superitendent of Southfield Public Schools, but never received a reply.

...Lou Dobbs yesterday about the MSM going gaga over Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama, while ignoring the fact that five living Secretaries of State have endorsed McCain.

That being said, have you considered either attending a Charter School or setting up a Home School?

March down there and talk to them personally.

The public school system is not the proper venue for children to be politically propagandized.
