Tonight I am wondering why the Governor of Michigan sounded so much like President Bush in her State of the State Address.
She spoke of worker retraining but what I heard most distinctly was that it is geared to " skilled worker retraining " Ummm ? Governor the Auto Companies layed off mostly their " UNSKILLED WORKFORCE "...these are the people who will require learning new skills so that they may become " SKILLEED WORKERS " TOO !!!
Another obstacle....Affordable Health care for all citizens...How can unemployed workers afford this so called " Affordable Health Care ? On her topic of closing schools that don't perform ? My advice is to keep them open but hire COMPETENT TEACHERS and to bring back something I was brought up with..School Dress Code...this makes every child and teenager...EQUAL and also supports " discipline " I'd like to know also if the Governor is going to do any sacrificing of her own , like cutting her salary in half , if you want to rally the troops it has to start from the TOP !! Are you With Me Governor Grandholm ?
