The economic impact of Governor Granholm's turnaround plan shows a further decrease in investment in the city of Detroit, according to figures released by the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership.

"The economic development arm of the Detroit Regional Chamber announced that 45 companies expanded or located in the region with the help of the partnership from July 2006 to June 2007, creating $66 million in investment and adding 644 new jobs to Southeast Michigan.

For the prior year, 73 entities generated 2,775 jobs and a total investment of $449.7 million."

Drop?  That is putting it mildly.  A decrease of $383 million and change constitutes a little more than a drop.  I guess it is all part of being "blown away".
