Tampa Bay's ball park is a wreck.  Just ugly.  I mean, pretty hideous.

But Vero Beach was gorgeous.  The baseball photos below were taken yesterday.  The Tigers won Monday and dropped the game with the Dodgers on a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth.  

And I haven't looked it up at all, but I'd gather that Vero Beach has a larger than normal (even for Florida) retirement community.  The average age at the ballpark had to be right around 65.  Average.

I sat next to a nice 85 year old woman, Amy, and her 65 year old daughter.  She was from Warren originally but had moved down last year.  And she loved her Tigers.  So we became friends.  That was fun.

Then it was off to the actual beach in Vero Beach.  My first time setting foot in the ocean.  Had waves maybe three feet high... just gorgeous.
