It has been a while for me, sorry. This is a letter I wrote to Mike Huckabee, just thought you all would want to read it. Thanks and many Christmas Blessings, and always thanks for being involved. Shane "The Hunt For Red November"
Hello Sir and Many Blessings to you on this Christmas Day.
First off let me tell you that I am a Thompson supporter and always have been. But I watch the poll's! I am still going to vote for him in the Primaries and campaign for him in my hometown, but your surge worries me. I have to ask you sir are you going to be the real true conservative you claim to be, as Thompson is. See I know you are a strong Christian as am I. And I know you did great things in your state, after all you did follow Bill Clinton. But there are some things that scare me. I do not want, nor do I feel it is the way this country should go in giving anything to any illegals or there non-citizen children. It is against the law, against the constitution and there fore against God. It will only serve to draw more like them into this country. See sir it is my belief that the Bible is the primary law in this nation. The founding father's knew this, our fellow bother Dr David Barton will tell you this at www.Wallbuilders.com. The Bible also teaches us of self-government, and our founding fathers knew this as well. I believe that the Constitution is an extension of the bible in the area of detailed government that the bible did not cover. It was inspired by God and written by man. Just as the bible is to be followed even though we might not like it, understand it, or agree, so as we should follow the constitution. See as you know sir, His ways are not our ways. Sometimes we need to follow the constitution even though we think we know better. Sir we do not!!! Trust in the constitution that God Wrote. Call to protect the borders and remove the illegals sir. Another point that scares me is your wanting to make a national law about abortion. Sir the constitution does not allow the federal government to act in this area. The founding fathers did not want this country run by dictators, either in person or in government. That is why the power was given to the states. It was a check and balance just like the three federal branches. Competition among the states, testing and trials, if you don't like it you can move (if we don't like your national law we can't do that one), and the trying to draw other's into your state (personal & business), all based on capitalism & free enterprise. This is why I take Thompson's stance on Abortion; it is the most American, the most constitutional, and the most Christian. Just cause we think it's a good idea doesn't make it constitutional. As a navy sailor I had to defend a persons right to burn the flag (something I think is detestable) even though I didn't want to, that sir is constitution! And as for this "50 different laws about abortion" statement that I feel truly hurt Thompson from Dr Dobson. We already have 50 different laws about murder. I don't see him wanting to nationalize murder when that's all abortion is. To kill the unborn is no different then the killing of you or I. It should not be risen to a level above what is truly is, thus saying one person's life is greater then another's. The smarter way to handle this is just to include the unborn in the 14th amendment. Since science now confirms that life begins at conception, then they are "persons" and fall under the 14th amendment. 14th Amendment 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. As for the Tax statement you made, sir (I pledge that I will not raise your taxes). To make this statement in the face of the fact that you did raise taxes in your state, seems very two faced and just trying to cater to the public. Why not just speak the truth like Mr. Hunter did, "I do not want to raise taxes nor do I intent to, but I can not say that I will never raise them, there might be a national need to". By the way that has been Thompson's position all along. As for this Statement you made about where today's terrorism comes from, the poor, the homeless, and poverty. You really don't seem to understand the close to 2000-year history of Muslims. From day one they have been a conquest people with only one intention, convert or kill every one on this planet!! This is POINT and that is BLANK!! Finally sir, I sure hope that you know more about the Mormon faith then you claim and or seem to. As a Christian I have strong beliefs that Mormon's may fall outside Christianity. And since I feel that you may take that same stance shouldn't you have studied that faith as I have. The devil uses that faith to draw people away from the true God. "If one wants to defeat thy enemy, one must know thy enemy". Not that Mormon's are the enemy, but the schemes of the devil are. Just as the Muslims above Sir, you seem to need further study. So I ask you Sir again are you going to be the true conservative that you claim to be, and can we count on you to truly lead?
