      I spent 8 years in a "real" school.  I have plenty of friends.  I've received promotions at work.  Honestly, other than a couple former employees, you guys on this site are the only people who dislike me.

      Understanding the difference between who and whom is not something that is beyond the average person's intelligence.  The average 8th grader (at least in a school that's doing a decent job of teaching English) could point out the problems with your use of the pronouns.
