      I'm working on an article . . . (none / 0) (#1)
by Kevin Rex Heine on Sun Feb 24, 2013 at 07:52:43 AM EST
. . . that's going to have a few of the "behind the curtain" details.  I could have written it last night, but between the duration and pitched floor fight of Friday night's 2nd District Caucus and the duration of Saturday's General Session, I was well and thoroughly exhausted when I finally made it home yesterday (barely having the energy to properly unpack).  I want to review the audited raw totals before I write the article, but I've already developed a mental outline.

I did notice this morning that Saulius still doesn't get it.  This morning's Weekly Musing refers to the Liberty Coalition (made up of the Republican Liberty Caucus, the tea party network, and the Campaign for Liberty) as folks with an alternative agenda, focused more on intra-party battles than beating Democrats, who made this a closer race than it should have been.  Dumb . ass . has-been

I could tell by the look on Schostak's face when he went up on stage to deliver his victory speech -- and I think that speech was really toned down from the one he wanted to deliver -- that he at least heard the message that the grassroots will no longer tolerate being used as his toilet, and that he'd better actually deliver on his promises in 2014.  However, whether he actually gets the message will be measured acta non verba.
