      . . . is that getting candidate "R" elected is just the start of our work.  I know waaayyyyyy too many tea partiers who want to elect candidates and/or support platforms that will allow them to relax their guard and become less vigilant as citizens.  Those of us who are political realists know that it doesn't work that way; allowing our elected officials to operate on "auto pilot" is part of the reason that we are where we are now.

      As I've noticed with Barry, and I expect the same from Debbie, b------t attack ads are going to be de rigueur, because the vulnerable dems are completely unable to defend their records, adn they know it.  Like it or not, this election is going to be a de facto referendum on the incumbent's record.

      That having been said, we also need to wrest effective control of the Michigan Republican Party away from the blueblood elites currently occupying the establishment halls of power.  That starts by taking over the executive committees of as many county parties as possible in the November county conventions . . . the wise insurgents are already developing their strategy.
