When the pipeline broke in Kalamazoo - we were swamped by environmental engineering firms for supplies and equipment due to the EPA guidelines for clean up.  And yes a good clean up needed to be performed - however - the EPA and State had these guys doing things just because of the money that was going to be extracted from the pipeline company by the EPA and the State.  Rather than being held accountable the pipeline company was extorted.
