I issued this release a few minutes ago:

Traverse City - Grand Traverse County Commissioner and Candidate for Michigan State Representative Jason Gillman issued the following statement:

"Yesterday the Supreme Court of the United States Upheld most provisions of the Affordable Care Act, and assigned one particular provision a TAX rather than a penalty as it was sold to the congress when passed.  This `tax' is likely the largest increase on working Americans ever passed. The Court also held that states, including Michigan could not be punished for reluctance to expand medicaid services to those who would not normally qualify.

The effect of these decisions will likely be a more robust push back on the actions of the past congress, and the removal of the president who can now be correctly labeled as one who enacted the largest tax increase in the history of our nation.

Now the Governor, Rick Snyder, seems eager to push forward the creation of Health Exchanges which will only help to further this oppressive effort by the President.  The State house to this point has been reluctant to agree, and Michigan's Attorney Genera, Bill Schuette, l has advised them to hold off until at least November, when the direction of the country will be more clearly defined."

"I would hope our sitting representative Wayne Schmidt will accept the advice of Mr. Schuette on this important issue of health freedom." Gillman said
