The last paragraph says it all for me. Obviously full of Upton hype, this author should beware of his glass house with those accusations of "career politician" and "digging up old votes".
As for that campaign hype... Upton paraded through Allegan, "his" new territory, with a little token speach about fighting abortion and the new bill he was proposing. He couldn't give me a bill number. Frankly, the claims here of "being in the forefront of fighting Obamacare" as well as Keystone etc sound like more of the same old blowing smoke in a campaign year. He's had 2 years since the Tea Party Revolution to get his act together, and he still doesn't get it. With his solid conservative record in MI, Hoogendyk gets my vote to prove he can double Upton's conservative rating in DC.
I'm looking to this author to back up his high-flown claims for Upton with some bill numbers and links. While he's at it, he can tell us which higher-ed bills Upton has supported for the past quarter century----with their constitutional justification. You did notice he's representing college students, after all.
