      Aside from the part of the article mentioning about them purchasing large chunks of property along the Maumee (which the locals haven't had the best of luck redeveloping or selling as of late), it also mentioned them snapping up energy reserves in other parts of America.

      What most people aren't aware of is that Toledo is at one of the ends of a national pipeline network used to transport petroleum across the country.

      Granted, they cannot just pump it onto a tanker at Toledo and ship it back to China...well, they can, it just won't be the most efficient way of transporting it back home.

      But buying up large chunks of property with a close proximity to energy and transportation just sounds like too much of a coincidence if you ask me.
