I was thinking about our post-election "Going Galt" convo and how it may not be as far away as we think. As the economy changes, more and more jobs aren't requiring people to be tied to a physical location. Many jobs that fall into the "maker" categories will require only a high speed internet connection and maybe an hour's drive to a major airport. In a few years we may all be able to bail on SE Michigan and cluster in areas with like minded people with teeny, tiny local governments. Ahhhh...dare to dream!
