That having been said, the requirements to appear on the partisan gubernatorial primary ballot are defined in Michigan Election Law, Act 116-1954-V (specifically Section 168.53) as identical to the requirements for the partisan federal senate ballot:  Not less than 15,000 signatures on a partisan nominating petition (nor more than 30,000), with at least 100 signatures required from each of half of the state's congressional districts.
