      . . . I'll have to fill in the education gap on this:

      The National FairTax Initiative absolutely requires the repeal of the 16th Amendment as a prerequisite for its implementation.  The Michigan FairTax Proposal does away with the state's income tax (as well as all business taxation as part of the proposed state constitutional amendment.
