PROJECT: As part of the $230 million I-75 Gateway Project, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will open a new ramp connecting the Ambassador Bridge Auto Plaza to southbound I-75. The ramp is expected to open just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Additional I-75 Gateway Project ramps, constructed by MDOT to move traffic directly between the Ambassador Bridge and the interstate highways and improve mobility at the Detroit-Windsor border, will remain closed until the Detroit International Bridge Company (DIBC) constructs the connecting public roads it contractually agreed to build.
